This morning we worked in small groups and rotated around the classroom to read and discuss the pictures and questions that Mrs. Robertson had prepared. Each card contained a who, when, why, what or a, how question
Johnny - To bring some flowers to a wedding.
Gabby - Because they are beautiful.
Thomas - Mum would plant them.
Tyler - They might go a shop and sell them. All great, valid and creative ideas. Children need opportunities to develop their oral language. Strong oral language skills help develop great writers. We all need to discuss what it is we are going to write and as adults we manage to do this in our heads.
